ECG Training

Description

This comprehensive training program delivers an interactive, multi-phase learning experience designed to bridge the gap between classroom theory and real-world clinical practice. The session begins with a dynamic lecture covering basic cardiac anatomy, electrical conduction paths, and the universal grid system of ECG interpretation. Participants then transition into a hands-on technical lab where they practice proper skin preparation and exact anatomical placement of the 10 physical electrodes on clinical manikins or peers. The workshop concludes with a collaborative case study review, challenging participants to analyze real-world anonymized ECG strips, recognize urgent medical pathologies, and build the immediate diagnostic confidence required in emergency and acute care settings.

Objectives

The primary objective of this ECG training program is to equip participants with the foundational knowledge and practical skills required to confidently perform a standard 12-lead electrocardiogram (ECG) and systematically interpret cardiac rhythms. By blending theoretical electrophysiology with clinical application, learners will master correct electrode placement, identify and troubleshoot technical artifacts, and accurately calculate heart rate and intervals using ECG graph paper
