Description
The Paediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Provider Course equips healthcare professionals with the knowledge and practical skills needed to recognise and manage life-threatening emergencies in infants and children. The course covers systematic paediatric assessment, respiratory emergencies, shock, cardiac arrest, resuscitation algorithms, effective team dynamics, and post-resuscitation care. Through interactive learning and hands-on simulation, participants develop the skills to respond promptly and effectively to paediatric emergencies and deliver high-quality, evidence-based care.
Objectives
Systematically assess infants and children experiencing acute illness or clinical deterioration.
Recognise and manage respiratory emergencies, shock, and cardiac arrest in paediatric patients.
Apply PALS algorithms and evidence-based resuscitation principles in emergency situations.
Demonstrate effective airway management, CPR, and other essential paediatric resuscitation skills.
Apply effective communication, teamwork, and leadership during paediatric emergencies.
Provide appropriate post-resuscitation care and support improved outcomes for critically ill children.
