Description
This session focused on quality, patient safety and clinical excellence, as well as digital-enabled and data-driven approaches to primary health care. Scientific presentations examined professional growth and clinical quality metrics, antimicrobial resistance, management of complex clinical conditions in resource-limited settings, and patient outcomes and antimicrobial resistance in bloodstream infections. The session also explored the use of digital health and data-driven approaches in primary health care, including technology-enabled adherence and access, tele-hospice services, digital health transformation for maternal and neonatal outcomes, hypertension care, and data-informed approaches to disease prevention and outbreak response. Scientific and poster presentations were complemented by question-and-answer sessions. The day also included the Opening Ceremony, keynote addresses, and a panel discussion reflecting on the Kenya Primary Health Care Strategic Framework, including its implementation, successes, lessons and future direction.
