Description
Training session aimed at enhancing healthcare workers’ knowledge and skills in the early recognition, assessment, stabilization, treatment, and monitoring of patients with shock to prevent complications and improve patient outcomes.
Objectives
By the end of the session, participants should be able to:
Identify the causes, types, signs, and symptoms of shock.
Perform rapid assessment and recognize danger signs of shock.
Initiate immediate management, including airway, breathing, and circulation support.
Explain appropriate fluid resuscitation and use of medications according to the type of shock.
Monitor vital signs, tissue perfusion, and response to treatment.
Identify complications and initiate timely referral or escalation of care.
Document interventions and evaluate patient outcomes.
